Ingredients
Flour | 250 gram (g) |
Butter (chilled and cubed) | 125 gram (g) |
Cold water | splash |
Cooking chocolate | 150 gram (g) |
Cream | 50 gram (g) |
Orange juice | 2 tablespoon/s (tbsp) |
Salt | 1 pinch |
Method
Mix flour, butter and a pinch of salt in a food processor until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs. Add chilled water in it till the mixture begins to form large clumps. Make sure to stop before it forms a ball. On your work surface, place the short crust pastry out and knead gently to bring it together. Form into a disc and cover in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Now, melt the cooking chocolate with cream in a microwave oven for a minute. Mix the chocolate gently, add orange juice and fill the pastry bag. Keep it in the fridge.
It’s time now to roll the pastry dough. Cut it in small circles and press them into the moulds. Bake in preheated oven till they turn golden. Remove from the microwave oven and leave them out till the tarts are cold. Pipe the chocolate in the tarts and serve. Feel free to garnish them with some orange slices and orange rind. Mouth-watering chocolate tarts are ready!
