Best of 2025: the year in search and 3 viral chicken recipes
What did the world cook in 2025? The Google Year in Search results are in, and chicken is the undisputed star. We’re diving into the top three most-searched recipes globally

The year in search: The 3 chicken recipes that broke the internet in 2025 and how you can make them at home
What a year this has been on the ‘Trend Gram’: Benson Boone this, Dubai Chocolate and Labubu that, matcha-sipping, Clairo obsessed men making it all feel wonderfully chaotic. What’s more, the Google year in search list for 2025 is out. And among the Top 10 most searched for recipes, globally are three chicken recipes! At Vikhroli Cucina, we’re big fans of anything and everything chicken. Considering we have an entire range of Real Good chicken products to choose from; whether it’s the whole chicken or the chicken curry cut, that inspired a monthly chicken curry special that featured curries from the various regions in India.

So, naturally, we were very keen to see which chicken recipes made it to the most-searched for the list, globally. The items in this list are more or less obvious. But each one of them is something you can make at home for a hearty meal.
The Marry Me chicken
How did the name of this viral chicken come to be, you might ask? The recipe was first pitched by Lindsay Funston on Delish, before it became a massive internet phenomenon and went viral on TikTok, so much so that even The New York Times covered the story! Legend has it that this chicken recipe is so good, that it inspires a wedding confession of love at first bite! (We are eager to test this claim).
Originally developed as a ‘Sicilian Chicken Skillet,’ made with chicken breasts, which the creator wasn’t quite sold on, as a name. Then the sauce was spooned over the chicken for the last shot, and the videographer grabbed a fork to try the final result only to immediately blurt a marriage proposal! “I’d marry you for that chicken!” and that is how the chicken was christened. A chicken dinner ‘so good, you just might get a proposal by the last bite!’
Make the famous ‘Marry Me Chicken’ at home
Here’s how you make this viral one-pan-skillet-esque meal that is also a perfect addition to our collection of our list of one sheet pan chicken dinners
What you need:
- 4 pieces of boneless, Real Good Chicken Breasts
- Salt
- Freshly ground black pepper
- 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 1 Tbsp. fresh thyme leaves
- 1 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
- 3/4 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup finely chopped sun-dried tomatoes
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup finely grated Parmesan
- fresh basil, for serving
- 3 Tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil

Sauce and Bake:
Pour in broth, tomatoes, cream, Parmesan cheese and a little more salt. Bring to a simmer. Return seared chicken and plate juices to the skillet. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
Serve:
Arrange chicken on a platter. Spoon creamy tomato sauce over the top. Garnish with fresh basil.
White chicken chilli
Feeling chilly and stuffed this winter? Here’s a chily recipe to warm you right up. At its core a chilli is a type of stew usually made out of beans, ground meat, spices and tomatoes. So, it is no surprise that this recipe made it to the global most searched for recipes! You can use any type of beans, but the original recipe suggests some kind of white ones, so we’re giving it a slight Indian twist.
What you need:
- 1 tbsp. oil
- 1 medium yellow onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1 tsp. ground cumin
- 3 boneless, skinless Godrej Real Good Chicken Breasts, cut into thirds
- 5 cups chicken broth
