How to celebrate Valentine’s Day creatively
The big day is around the corner and sometimes making the perfect Valentine’s Day plan can be daunting. Especially as a foodie, going out for a fancy dinner may just seem passé or not creative enough idea. Here are top four picks you can celebrate your love without reducing the romance quotient
Make a picnic of it
There’s still a nip in the air and it’s the perfect weather to be outdoors. So why not make the most of it? Our top suggestion: Plan a surprise picnic for your partner! Grab a Godrej Nature’s Basket hamper which contains all his/her delectable treats and Use nature (or the park near your house) as the backdrop for your perfect date. If you aren’t sure about how to go about it, you’re covered! We’ve already decoded the 5Ws and an H for the perfect picnic.
Enjoy a slice of history
Skip the restaurants (fancy or not) and head for an iconic Irani cafe instead. Who can resist the brun-maska, kheema-pav or berry pulao? If that isn’t your cup of tea, there’s another easy option. You could try a home-cooked meal, albeit not at your house. Do some research and find out if any home chef is accepting bookings for a meal. Either way, you’ll get a taste of history and culture!
Grab a coffee
Remember those college days when the perfect date was all about spending hours in a café over a cup of coffee? Relive those forgotten (and romantic) memories in 2018. Go café hopping Grab a cup of coffee and unravel the coffee culture or just whisper sweet nothings into each other’s ears, just like you did all those years ago.
Bring a restaurant home
Opting for a quiet night at home? Get into your pyjamas (or not), turn down the lights, light up scented candles (our top pick is vanilla) and spend time with each other. Let the food be as fuss-free as your night itself. Sip on wine cocktails, share a bowl of Sizzling Shrimp or a plate of BBQ’d Jerk Chicken, gorge on healthy Tabouleh with Pomegranate, and end with a Gluten-Free Chocolate Pudding or Chilli Chocolate Fondue. The choice is yours!
