Ingredients

Potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced 0.5 kilogram (kg)
Skimmed milk 2 cup/s
Cream 0.5 cup/s
Garlic paste 1 teaspoon/s (tsp)
Pepper powder 0.5 teaspoon/s (tsp)
Bay leaf 1 piece/s
Nutmeg powder 1 pinch
Salt to taste
Butter 1 tablespoon/s (tbsp)
Oregano 1 teaspoon/s (tsp)

Method

  • In a microwavable utensil add milk, cream, garlic paste, pepper powder, bay leaf, nutmeg and salt. Mix them well.
  • Arrange each slice of the potato in a circular manner in the above mixture. Sprinkle the oregano and drizzle a tablespoon of butter on top and keep in the microwave oven.
  • Press the ‘CONVEC’ key and set the temperature to 200 degree C.
  • Set the time to 30 minutes and press start. At the end of 30 minutes, a beautifully golden and mildly flavoured potato au gratin is ready to be served along with garlic bread.
