The sky over Mumbai had been a moody grey for three days and one thing we love talking about here is seasons! Recently, we looked getting your foodie fix on a streetside stroll when it’s pouring outside. And when a stroll is just not enough, and you want to explore the countryside in the rains, we looked at 4 places that ae just a short drive away from Mumbai. Today, we’re looking at an equally iconic and quintessential monsoon snack – Chai and pakoda
Resident food trendsetter and expert, Rushina Ghildiyal (@rushinamg) first coined the term in 2017, part of the Indian Food Observance Days. It was a celebration of monsoons and the collective Indian philosophy that “Baarish mein Chai pakode to bante hai...” But like so many of the foods we have celebrated through these food days, Pakodas are a single concept with a thousand interpretations!
