Add a sweet touch to your festival celebrations with Shahi Tukda

A dessert truly fills the heart and the stomach. And it becomes all the more fulfilling if the dessert has some newness in it. This festival season, add royal sweetness to your celebrations with a California Walnuts Shahi Tukda. The preparation is easy, and the taste is pure delight. It only gets sweeter with every bite!


For rabri:

Full cream milk 1litre
Sugar ¼cup
Cardamom powder ½tbsp
Saffron milk 2tbsp

For sugar syrup:

Sugar ½cup
Water ½cup
Saffron threads a few

For serving:

Bread (white or brown) 6 slices
Ghee 3tbsp
California Walnuts halves ½cup


Remove the sides of the bread and cut the slices into triangles. Fry the slices on both the sides in hot ghee till they turn golden-brown.

To prepare the sugar syrup, pour water in a pan and add sugar to it. Add few saffron threads, if desired. Bring it to a boil and then turn off the heat. Now dip both sides of the fried bread slices in the sugar syrup and keep them aside.

You can prepare the rabri by heating milk and adding sugar, cardamom powder and saffron milk into it.

Finally, place the bread slices in a plate and pour half a cup of rabri on top of it. Garnish it with California Walnuts and treat your loved ones to this delicious dessert.
